Give or take a couple of months. You know what they say about good intentions.
Day 7 - Favorite movies
I think is the one that stumped me last time. We are not movie-goers. We work long hours, usually odd hours, and by the time the weekend comes we don't feel like bothering to go out. Plus there are all my other distractions - the internet, digital scrapping, writing (on rare occasions any more), being a chauffeur to a carload of teenage girls ... you see where I'm going with this.
The hubby has his list of about 5 favorites (give or take a few dozen) that we watch over and over and ... No, let me rephrase that. HE watches them over and over and over while I call out supportive things from my chair at the pc. The Ten Commandments, The Great Escape, Field of Dreams, The Natural, any of the Harry Potter series, Sweeney Todd, Star Wars (any of them usually in succession), Star Trek (see previous comment) .... the list goes on and on, just like Rose's heart does in the Titanic theme song. Yes yes, he watches that one too even though we all know how it ends. (Psst, the ship sinks!)
The one that I didn't name is one that I will always stop and sit for. We've watched it so many times that my Marine Son and I were texting each other lines from it just this week.
"There's no crying in baseball!" "Use your head. It's that thing thee feet above your ass." "Anybody ever tell you you look like a penis with a little hat?" "Mule!" "Nag!"
Oh the hours we could spend (and did, while my hubby was in ICU last fall) tossing movie lines back and forth. Both sons, my daughter, and me. Good times!
"A League of Their Own". Classic Madonna, Rosie O'Donnell, Tom Hanks, Geena Davis, and best supporting roll ever - Jon Lovitz.
Go. Watch!

Day 8 - A place you've traveled to
I can't pick a favorite. Toronto, NYC, Jamaica, San Francisco, Los Angeles, our cross country trip from L.A. to Miami in 2006. That last one included Vegas, the Grand Canyon, Roswell New Mexico, The Alamo, New Orleans ...
I'm ready to go again, just let me pack a bag.
